GPA College Blog 2

I was calculating my grade and found shocking results. I found out that my grades were not up to my standers, that they were behind and I need to make them up. My grade is at a 2.67 and that’s a C+, I look at the collages that I want to go to. I really need to set up my game in these last months of 9th grade and do really good in the rest of my years in high school.
One of my collages that I looked at was M.I.T. [Massachusetts Institute of Technology] It’s is one of the best schools in world and the best school in engineering. I looked at the standard G.P.A that you need to get in and it was at a 3.5 or higher also you need to score 2120 minimum in the S.A.T.  My advisor that luckily was the collage advisor helped me to figure this out.
My next step when I am in 10th grade is will to be organize myself so I can turn my homework in time and also to listen to the question my teacher is giving me so I can answer them and not have to ask so many questions.  I will take honors so that I can get better than a 4.0 so I defiantly can get in to M.I.T

Internship Talks

In the conversations that we had with the 11th grade was exciting and it taught me a few things about life and about internship. The idea that real stood out to me was mentors.  Mentors are supposed to be strict and knowledgeable but what if you did have a mentor that was funny and entertaining.  This idea made me question what I want in a mentor and what I want in an internship. In my internship I am looking for a great mentor one who he knows what he is doing and has a lot of passion in what he is doing. I am also looking for a internship that does not see kids as a waste of time one that will teach me the knowledge I need to know. The sad thing is that half of the people do care about money and say that why would we get an intern that we have to train and they only be here a week instead higher someone.  The time passing poem was the only one that painted a picture in my head .It was about time and when you are sitting down doing work your brain sometime shuts off you cant hear you cant think and the only thing you see is time mocking you in the face. The picture in my head was a man sitting in a little desk with a computer turn on and he was on word about to type a easy but he was frozen and the only thing that I saw in his computer was one word THE. The other poems were really good but that was the one I saw a picture come to life in my head.

Suheir Hammad & Marjane Satrapi on War

“I know that beat it is lifeless.” One of the quotes that Suheir Hammad said in her poem. This is a great connection to Majane in Persepolis, it shows the war that happened in Iran when they started bombing. Majane said that the bombs were natural and even though we knew the bombs could kill us we did not go to the basement any more. Another great quote was “I will not lend my rhythm or my beat I will dance and resist.” This connection to all of the times Marjane rebelled against the veil, the war, the Shaw and or all of the people that wasn’t fair with women’s rights. These quotes were the first ones that I saw as a great example to relate to the book Persepolis. They stood out not only for that reason but for the reason that they were a inspiration to a revolution.
“I will not forget where I come from. I will make my own drum!” This is a huge connection to Persepolis. This is where Marjane mom, dad, and grandma told her it does not matter where you are never forget yourself and were you come from. In my opinion this is the root and the key inspiration of the book. “Do not fear what has blown up. Fear the un exploded.”  This quote is very strong and poetic it has so much meaning. In my opinion the meaning is let go of the past there is nothing there the future is still to come. That was the one quote that stood out to me the most and I think this is the best line in her poem very power full words with a great meaning.

STREET ART

The street art had many different qualities and different point of views. Each with a unique design and a strong meaning. I can transfer this knowledge into my art work by thinking out side of the box. To show a good stand point of my consumption in other words, let the picture tell it self.
In this documentary something really stood out to me, something about the artist work. It was how simple the art was but yet it told a strong message if you realy took the time to look at it. Another thing that stood out to me was some artist had painting that will connect together to form another painting. For example space invader all over Los Angelis put little alien and if you connect all the path of the space invader you will get one huge space invader.
I saw a lot of deep messages in the painting of the art. As I said it so simple but with a huge message. One art work there was little girl patting down a soldier, it was weird but the message finely hit me. It stood for peace in a way, how every time a police officer arrested a guy he would pat them down to check for guns. In this case the girl was patting down the soldier and was still looking for guns but it was to show that no one had right of power, every one is equal.

Harrison Bergeron Political Cartoon

My political cartoon has a lot to say, it describes the political government of the story “Harrison Bergeron”. It shows Diana podium and she is d ressed like a dictator, she has all of the citizens chained and she is mine controlling all of them. On the left she has the constitution in flames. The constitution stands for freedom and to be able to free speak, the constitution is our life and its on flames. My message to my cartoon is to reveal the truth about how communist community works by Diana burning the constitution and mine controlling the people to thinking this is equal. I am relating my political cartoon to the story by showing my view on how Diana is really controlling the people and how she handicaps them from there natural abilities.

Political Cartoon

Political Cartoon is a picture to describe a event that occurred in that time frame and its also to prove a point to the readers weather its negative or positive point for example.

This is a political cartoon of Obama. If you take a look a the picture you can see that Obama has a huge dollar bill on his face and it has twenty five million righting on it. This represents the the money that Obama paid for health insurance. On the bottom there are words that say, NO I don't think it makes you look presidential! This means that she disagrees with the judgment that Obama made with the health plan and this is tyring to prove a point that Obama's plane wasn't the best thing for this country.
