Gregory has too much to do that there is no break for him that makes him feel dehumanized. In the beginning of the story, [part one] Gregory was turn into a bug! Rather than to worry of what he has just become he thinks about what the people at work will have to say when he gets to work late. The character develops so the reader feels like he is spending all of his life working and not enjoying the time. He had seen the character as being dehumanized. Gregory still complains about his boss’ demands and is trying to understand what will happen if he does miss his work for a day?
Running around and around selling things door to door saying the same lines over and over again gets tiring. Doing that same rutine every day and every year till you die sounds like a robot. A robot that has no purpose and that has no meaning to its life is very dehumanizing.
